God desires our worship to be pure, sincere, and free from distraction or exploitation. Jesus demonstrates His zeal for holiness and reverence in every aspect of life devoted to God.

Luke 19:45 says:
“When Jesus entered the temple courts, he began to drive out those who were selling. ‘It is written,’ he said to them, ‘My house will be a house of prayer,’ but you have turned it into a den of robbers.”

Jesus cleared the temple because the sacred space had been misused for personal gain. Worship is not about commerce or appearance; it is about devotion, integrity, and honoring God with our hearts.

Clara reflected on this when she noticed distractions and selfish ambition creeping into her own spiritual practices. She recommitted herself to prayer, study, and genuine worship, seeking to keep her heart aligned with God’s holiness.

Reflection:

  • Are there areas of your life where God’s purposes are overshadowed by distraction or selfish motives?

  • How can you cultivate sincere devotion and integrity in your worship and daily living?

  • What steps can you take to make your life a “house of prayer” for God?

🙏 Prayer:
Lord, cleanse my heart and life so that they honor You. Help me to worship sincerely, serve faithfully, and keep my devotion pure. May everything I do reflect Your holiness and glory. Amen.
