Eternal life transforms our understanding of family, relationships, and identity. Those who belong to God through Christ are heirs of His kingdom, living beyond the limitations of this world.

Luke 20:36 says:
“and they can no longer die; for they are like the angels. They are God’s children, since they are children of the resurrection.”

Jesus teaches that resurrection life brings immortality and a new relationship with God. We are not defined solely by earthly circumstances; our true identity is as children of the resurrection, secure in God’s love and eternal purposes.

James found hope in this verse when grieving the loss of a loved one. Remembering that God’s children are raised to eternal life comforted him and strengthened his faith, reminding him that death does not have the final word.

Reflection:

  • How does the promise of resurrection shape the way you live today?

  • In what ways can you find hope in knowing you are a child of God’s eternal kingdom?

  • How does eternal perspective influence your relationships and priorities?

🙏 Prayer:
Lord, thank You for making me a child of the resurrection. Help me to live with hope, courage, and faith, trusting in Your eternal promises. May my life reflect the joy and security of being Yours forever. Amen.
