God’s plans and promises stand firm. Unlike human commitments that change with time or circumstance, His calling and gifts are steadfast and sure.
Romans 11:29 says:
“For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.”
Paul reminds us that God’s faithfulness does not depend on our perfection. The same God who called Israel continues to fulfill His promises. Likewise, the gifts and purpose He has placed in our lives are not withdrawn when we struggle or fail. His grace restores and empowers us to walk in His calling again.
Jonathan once felt disqualified from serving because of past mistakes. But through prayer and encouragement from his church family, he rediscovered that God’s call on his life hadn’t changed—only his confidence had. As he returned to serving, he found renewed strength in knowing God never takes back what He has given.
Reflection:
Have you ever felt unworthy of the calling or gifts God has placed in your life?
How does this verse remind you of God’s unchanging faithfulness?
What step can you take today to walk again in the purpose He’s given you?
🙏 Prayer:
Faithful God, thank You that Your gifts and calling never fail. When I doubt myself, remind me that Your plans for me remain. Strengthen my faith to walk boldly in what You have called me to do, trusting that You will complete what You began. Amen.
