You’ve met many people in your life—friends, teachers, colleagues—but some encounters leave a lasting mark. They change the way you see the world, shape your heart, or guide your decisions.

Jesus asks that same question in Luke 9:20:
“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”

When Jacob first attended church as an adult, he thought of Jesus only as a historical figure—a wise teacher from stories he had heard as a child. One evening, during a quiet time of prayer, he felt a deep sense of God’s presence for the first time. It wasn’t about knowledge anymore; it was personal. He realized Jesus wanted to walk with him in his everyday struggles, celebrate his joys, and guide his decisions. From that moment, Jacob’s faith shifted—reading Scripture and praying became conversations with a friend, not just lessons to study.

Reflection:

  • Who is Jesus to you today, personally, beyond what you’ve been taught?

  • How does your answer affect the choices you make and the way you treat others?

  • What step can you take to know Him more deeply in your daily life?

🙏 Prayer:
Lord, help me know You personally. Show me how to see You not just as a figure from stories, but as my guide, my Savior, and my friend. Strengthen my faith and my trust in You, and help me follow You with my whole heart. Amen.
